how much did we love bringing the pretty for these adorable people? let us count the ways…
Linsey & Roy are two of the sweetest souls you will find. working with them was an inspiring, co-creative JOY from word go. and a (much-needed) downpour on their big day didn’t dampen these radiant smiles one bit. just look at that heart light shine!
florals by TEND, event coordination by Alesha Ballón of Ever After Events, photography by Erin Leigh of Viera Photographics, catering by Giuseppe, dessert by Michele Coulon, and graphic design by Susie Ghahremani of Girl Boy Party.
we love how the warm rain brought out the color in the locally grown protea and succulents. all felt it was an excellent omen to break a long San Diego drought on your wedding day. all giggles and no complaints from this good-natured, super fun bunch. AND the rain let up right after the ceremony in time for the beach-side reception. (of course!)
the family’s contribution of fresh pikake, cigar flower, orchid, and tuberose leis made this Hawai’i-raised florist giddy. the antique hand-crocheted lace was skillfully collected by the Bride’s Mom, Holly ,and Step-Mom, Chris. these women were nothing but generous, gentle, and inspirational to work with. laying it on a tad thick you say? trust me, i’m actually restraining myself here.
Mom Holly is a curatorial genius, evident in her collection of antique art objects sourced around the globe. she donated these Chinese rice measuring boxes dating from the early 1800’s for me to fill.
my girl sara of black lotus design and i needed all hands on deck to stuff these ancient wooden troughs, complete with ghost succulent lovingly grown and donated by Mom. i’m telling ya, the goodness never stopped.
Photog Erin Leigh was as smitten by our micro-succulents-in-driftwood as we were. i went to detail geek town on these lil’ guys, and i’d do it again.
our pal Moses rocked ring bearer duty with full power cuteness.
congratulations beautiful Linsey and Roy. when can we do it all again? ♥
